The sun is shining and I noticed some buds trying to burst through so this Polaroid seemed appropriate. It’s from a photo shoot I styled when I was fashion director at Harpers & Queen magazine for a beauty story promoting Miss Dior eau de parfum. The exquisite Cecilia Chancellor was stitched into the dress on set; it was made from a few pieces of fabric from Borovick Fabrics in Berwick Street (H&Q’s HQ was just down the road in Broadwick Street). I hand painted the floral design to match the backdrop. The idea was to mimic the fragrance’s ‘blossoming floral notes’ and ‘romantic nature’.
